Photoshop CC failed to install at 42% Exit Code: 6 issue – wont install [SOLVED]

Having problems installing Photoshop CC or Adobe CC products? Getting Exit Code: 6? Already have Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributables installed? There’s an easy fix/solution to the error:

  1. Quit adobe products and make sure the downloader is not running
  2. Open the windows menu and type “%TEMP%
  3. hit enter
  4. This will open your temp folder
  5. Delete the contents of the temp folder (some wont’ delete as they are open/in-use that’s ok)
  6. Re-open the Adobe CC installer
  7. The apps should now be marked as “Update”
  8. Click update
  9. They will take a minute then be marked as “Up to date”
